2018 Maserati Ghibli GranLusso unveiled
A minor facelift for Maserati’s entry-level saloon has been revealed alongside new technology
The time has come for Maserati’s entry-level model, the four-door Ghibli saloon, to get a refresh.
Originally launched in 2013 at the Shanghai Motor Show, four years on the updated model gets its first public outing at this year’s Chengdu Motor Show, China.
New for the Ghibli is a mildly revised front bumper featuring chrome inserts below the headlights while the gaping grille gets new vertical chrome bars.
Model specific badges now adorn the side of the car under the three air vents and behind the front wheels.
At the back of the car, a new bumper now encloses the rear diffuser, wrapping around the outer edge of the quad exhaust pipes.
New to the range is adaptive full LED headlights with glare free Matric high-beam, new active advanced driver aids (ADAS) which begins Maserati’s journey into the world of autonomous technology.
The current model is available with a choice of three engines – two 3.0-litre V6 petrol versions with 350hp and 410hp – and a 3.0-litre V6 diesel with 275hp.
The Ghibli GranLusso sits underneath the Quattroporte, Levante, GranTurismo and GranCabrio in the rest of the Maserati range.
