Renault Clio Sport gets Black Edition finish
Renault makes the Clio hot hatch even hotter with Black Edition treatment
If you’re after a Renault Clio Sport 200 or 220 Trophy and don’t think it’s quite ‘hot’ enough, then Renault has a solution that might just bring its little pocket rocket to the boil with new a Black Edition trim.
It’s available exclusively with the 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine tuned to either 200hp (197bhp) or 220hp (217bhp) for the Sport 200 and 220 Trophy, respectively, both of which get a six-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox with steering wheel mounted paddles.
Both versions return 47.9mpg on an official combined cycle and emit 133-135g/km of CO2 with the 0-62mph sprint taking just 6.7 and 6.6 seconds for the Sport 200 and 220 Trophy, respectively.
The new Black Edition kit is available when combined with any paint finish in the Clio Sport’s pallet and focuses on external aesthetics and is priced at £350 for the Sport 200 and £200 for the 220 Trophy. Each kit includes:
Clio Renault Sport 200 Black Edition: 17-inch black Renault Sport alloy wheels; black gloss door handles; black gloss side mouldings; black gloss front blade; black gloss tailgate moulding and badging; and black gloss rear diffuser.
Clio Renault Sport 220 Trophy Black Edition: black gloss door handles; black gloss moulding inserts; black gloss side mouldings; black gloss front blade; black gloss tailgate moulding and badging; and black gloss rear diffuser.
