2017 Vauxhall Crossland X unveiled
Compact SUV rival for the Nissan Juke has been unveiled ahead of summer launch
Vauxhall has taken the wraps off an all-new five-door compact SUV. It’ll sit below the Mokka X in the range and becomes the firm’s baby SUV model.
Called the Crossland X this is Vauxhall’s latest foray into the SUV market and gives it a direct rival for cars such as the Nissan Duke, Skoda Yeti and Renault Captur.
It comes at a time when Vauxhall continues to rejuvenate its SUV lineup following the launch of the facelifted Mokka X and Adam Rocks last year while the all-new larger Grandland X also arrives in 2017. It also follows hot on the heels of the new Insignia Grand Sport unveiling.
The compact SUV measures in at 4,212mm long, 1,765mm wide and 1,590mm high, it’s 160mm shorter than the Astra hatchback. The new car has styling cues straight from the Mokka X’s front end and the Adam city car’s floating roof that can be selected in different colours
Inside, it has the look of the Mokka X and latest Astra with high-quality finishes, chrome air vent surrounds, plus an 8.0in colour touchscreen infotainment system.
With 410-litres of storage capacity, the Crossland X has rear seats that split 60/40 while the bench can slide back and forth to prioritise boot space or rear leg room.
It’s packed with plenty of equipment including; flexible seating; an 180° panoramic rearview camera; park assist; forward collision alert with pedestrian protection; autonomous braking; lane departure warning; and blind spot alert.
It also gets Vauxhall’s OnStar connectivity service, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new car will arrive in showrooms in the summer of 2017.
