High five for Opel/Vauxhall in 2017
The Luton-based firm has confirmed that it’ll be launching five new models next year, including two all-new SUVs
Vauxhall has confirmed that it’ll be launching five new cars in 2017, which will see a major overhaul of its current model line-up.
Hot on the heels of the latest Mokka X, and the most recent Astra hatch and tourer, Vauxhall will boast a modern and recently updated range of cars when the following five vehicles arrive in showrooms by the end of 2017:
Insignia Grand Sport: A replacement of the current five-door hatchback rival to the Ford Mondeo gets a more streamlined and coupe-like profile as Vauxhall aims to increase the appeal of its benchmark car. Driving dynamics are set to be improved and it’ll have the option of all-wheel drive. Grand Sport is also set to challenge premium more rivals.
Insignia Sports Tourer: Replacement for the current five-door estate is to gain extra space inside but with a more stylish look, featuring design cues from Opel/Vauxhall’s Monza Concept shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013.
Insignia Country Tourer: A rugged high-riding crossover versions of the Insignia Sports Tourer featuring permanent four-wheel drive and a more rugged appearance. Think Audi Allroad and Volvo Cross Country.
Crossland X: An all-new SUV that'll offer family life practicality with long-distance cruising capability. It’ll be similarly sized to the Nissan Qashqai.
C-Segment Crossover: An all-new crossover the size of the Zafira Tourer, with a sporty design and will be launched by the end of the 2017.
