The all-new Kia Rio small hatchback been unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, arriving in 2017 to battle the Ford Fiesta
The 2017 Kia Rio has made its world premiere at the Mondial de l’Automobile.
It's the fourth-generation of the Rio five-door hatchback and will take on the Ford Fiesta and Skoda Fabia in the small car class in 2017.
The all-new Rio looks to have taken a step forward in design with a more athletic stance and sharper look while the interior looks modern and sleek.
Kia claims that the Rio's: "Straight lines and smooth surfacing give the car a distinctive new character, while a longer front overhang and bonnet, longer wheelbase, and upright C-pillar give the car an even more confident and balanced appearance than its predecessor."
While the Rio is lesser know on UK roads, it is Kia's best-selling model globally with 473,000 sold in 2015. Kia is aiming to make the new model more engaging to drive, with class-leading practicality while it will feature the firm's latest safety and entertainment technology.
With production set to start towards the end of the year, we would expect the first customer deliveries around early spring 2017.
