Mitsubishi GT-PHEV Paris World Premiere
Mitsubishi took the wraps off two SUV concepts at the Paris Motor Show and gave the 2017 Outlander its European debut
Mitsubishi unveiled two world premieres at the Paris Motor Show, the GT-PHEV next generation SUV and eX compact SUV Concept. Its stand also featured the 2017 Outlander and Outlander PHEV which received its a European debut.
The GT-PHEV concept is a high-end next generation SUV with off-roading abilities and is powered by a triple motor PHEV with high capacity batteries. It has an electric-only range of 74 miles and a combined hybrid range of 744 miles.
With one power unit stored in the front of the car and two in the rear, the power is distributed through permanent all-wheel drive.
It features new Mitsubishi design cues that could make it onto future models, including its ‘Dynamic Shield’ front end. Inside it has a horizontal dashboard providing a spacious feeling interior, while the high central console cocoons its passengers to make them feel safe and protected.
New technology will put information such as weather, road surface conditions and energy consumptions at the fingertips of the driver.
The 2017 Outlander gets a new floor console and an improved interior trim finish. It also gets Mitsubishi’s Forward Collision Mitigation System that helps you avoid accidents.
Meanwhile, the Outland PHEV gets an EV priority mode that focuses the car to use more electric power more of the time.
