2017 Ssangyong LIV-2 SUV Concept at Paris Motor Show
After four years of development, the final concept of Ssangyong’s next large-SUV will be unveiled later this month
South Korean car manufacturer will unveil its latest SUV, a large premium version no less, at the Paris Motor Show later this month.
The LIV-2 concept has been teased through a series of model sketches, looking production ready, with Ssangyong saying that the concept will go on sale in 2017.
It’s the final concept of the Y400 development model, originally shown at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show and will look to continue Ssanygong’s good recent form with the Tivoli and Tivoli XL.
The new model will be powered by the firm's 2.2-litre Euro 6 diesel engine, which is already in the Korando and Turismo, or its newly developed 2.0-litre GDi turbo petrol engine.
It makes sense that the new Ssangyong would replace the ageing Rexton and complete the turnaround the company has undertaken over the past few years with a refreshed and modern SUV lineup.
